The following chart is a copy of a keyword search. It's just one of the tools that makes marketing easier online.
Searches done in January 2005
Notice that in January 2005, this tool found that 36,627 searches were made for the term "massage therapist".
Based on the formula I revealed in my previous post, marketing your service or product to potential clients, would mean about a .5% return. In this case that formula would look like this:
36,627 X .5% = 183 potential new customers/clients for the month of January 2005
At 1% that number doubles to 366
Based on these numbers, here's what the chart reveals.
1.) People are looking for massage therapists online.
2.) If you had a website to market to the folks already searching for you, you could have introduced your product, service, or educational information to 183 -366 potential clients!
But get this.
This search tool only recovers about 20% of the actual searches done, so you can multiply that number by 5! That's 915 to 1830 potential customers/clients in one month!
Need I say more?
These are real numbers folks!
Get out of the box.
Stop listening to dinosaurs.
If you only got one tenth of 1% of these folks to your site, your still talking 36 - 37 potential customers.
