Massage marketing is everything you do.
Sounds a bit ambiguous, I know, but here's why:
Massage, and service business in general, is most effectively marketed by word of mouth. If I do everything with character and as much integrity as I can, it's a) more likely that I'll be seen in a positive light, and b) more likely that others will want to be associated with my business. From clients to strategic alliance, trust is operative when you show good character.

Some where in their career most massage therapists enter the murky territory of what to charge for their services. It's often a stumbling block, and/or a trail to frustration because it brings up all kinds of fears.
Throughout the years I've coached clients to take this issue on and better their business . . . and their self esteem. It's a battle worth fighting, and the outcome can change your life.
Unlike doctors, psychiatrists and other health professionals, massage therapists seem to struggle with charging market value for their time, work, education and services. Why is that?

How about several?
For most massage practitioners, our first goal is to get through massage school. Yet in different parts of the country or world, that means different things.
For some it's a number of hours, others a certification, or perhaps even licensing or national acclaim, and for some it simply means healing. Which ever it is, the energy it takes to get there can wear thin if one's vision isn't larger than the course.
For the wise there are several goals that when compiled together create the framework for more than just a job, and even more than a career. How about a life and lifestyle that fulfills you?

In the beginning of his book Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill asks this powerful question:
What do you want most? Is it money, fame, power, contentment, personality, peace of mind, happiness?
On an ordinary day, what drives you toward your future? Do you really know what you want?
More often than not, most of us emphasize what we DON'T want, and call that knowing . . . but Hill's question implies a most fundamental component of success.
