Marketing is a way of carrying on a conversation with your customer.
One of the ways I have done that is to create connection thru image and thoughtful personal message.

Occasionally I send a note to my customer with a quick hello, or poignant thought. I've used everything from note pad paper, to post cards from places I travel, to note cards like the one above I send on appropriate occasions.
It's important to hand write the message even if sending a pre-designed card, because making it personal is what gets it read.
Customers have responded warmly to this method and often call to say thanks and even end up scheduling another massage.
The Note Card shown in the beginning of this post is one I created several years ago for an influx of customers that were pregnant. This card was very effective and well recieved.
This is definitely a method that can be over -done so stay sincere.

Thanks for the reminder Barbara - this is something I've done before with success. I agree though that you don't want to bombard your clients - I've done a similar thing with email but the hand written note is much nicer.
