Massage Usage Survey

On the road of discovery to find what massage enthusiast need from the massage trade to better find and receive quality massage, I came across a survey mechanism that may help.

Of course a survey is only a glimpse into respondents perception, it's a great place to start as massage comes into its own as a viable self health management practice.

If you would like to view and/or take this survey, share it with friends or clients, I will post the results when the survey is completed.

Massage: My Foot(wear)

Discussion on MMR Yahoo group has me thinking about the sacrifices I have made with my body to keep my massage career. I've spent so many hours caring for others and had no idea what it may cost me physically. The whole thing has me re-evaluating choices.

This all came out of wondering what shoes I should wear. I need a new pair, but I have body challenges to watch out for and I want to consider posture and enviromental influences. I asked the question: what footwear do you use for massage work. Here's the suggestions that came through:

Happy New Year 2008!

It's a beautiful day here in the San Francisco Bay Area, and a
perfect opportunity to wish you all the best for 2008.

What is your Quest for 2008?

What new tools, methods, marketing & sales practices, niche or
delivery methods will you explore this year?

What innovations do you see coming out of the field of massage?

What areas of your massage business can you strengthen?

What new needs can you identify?

Do you need to bring in a professional to bloster a weak area?

Is there a class or certification you've been putting off?

Have you surrounded yourself with enough support?

Are you getting the bodywork YOU need?

This is a great time to re-evaluate previous decisions and include
new information that may bolster your efforts. Sometimes a small
tweak of the plan can help, and sometimes observing that things are
continuously expanding and can be left alone is a better move.

Have you taken in the big picture?

I've learned a phenominal amount of business skill and information
over the last few years, and finances have improved yet I see so
much more as possible. I see that tenacity and the ability to just
keep going are often most effective.

Efforts this year are geared to double my income and further
stabilize . . . and of course my health is top of that list. I'm
looking forward to many discussions here to help me reach my goals.
What resources will you use to help you reach yours?

Best of success to all of you in 2008!
