Blogging Yet?

I'm evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they're letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.

It covers:

  • The best blogging techniques.
  • How to get traffic to your blog.
  • How to turn your blog into money.

I'll let you know what I think once I've had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it's still free.

Massage: The Ultimate Holiday Gift

Burning_candles A warm and heartfelt wish of peace and joy this holiday season.

However the season may move you, I hope that 2007 ends with a feeling
of warmth, growth and accomplishment for all of you.

There is so much feeling at this time of year that emotion sometimes
spill over. For me this has always been a positive, but I am also
sensitive to those that struggle, and I send the light and good
thoughts your way.

Along with those challenged by fighting, or feeling the effects of the
war, I send light and love your way as well.

And, for those that struggle with the current challenge of living a
safe and simple life, or those that feel the frustration of the
housing crisis, or the pain of homelessness and hunger, may you also
find a moments peace as we strive to resolve these great challenges.

The present times bond us as world citizens working towards wholeness
together. There are many problems facing us, and needs that only we
humans can fill. Let us work together for a better world.

Massage has been the one activity that has allowed me to set aside my
own judgements of personality, and to enact my higher hope and active
prayer for peace. I give my best work and ask for the highest good to
come from all of my massage sessions. It is the one thing I can give
even in silence, that can express my support for people as a whole. To
me there is no greater gift than a nurturing touch.

I encourage you all to give the gift of massage to someone who needs
it but cannot afford it, at any price. Give to those that may suffer
silently, give to those that feel a great loss, give to those that
don't receive regular safe touch, and give to those that would never
ask for it, give to those that have forgotten themselves, give to
those that have nothing.

In our efforts to make better careers for ourselves, lets not forget
those less fortunate.

I wish you all the best of massage success.

Massage Marketing & Environmental Design

Enviro1Most massage therapists around the globe would agree that word of mouth marketing is perhaps the most effective marketing a business can attain. So how does one get the word out? How does one get people talking?

A good massage business may not even gain mentioned if the experience does not generate a buzz. So how does one become buzz worthy without pressing blatant marketing hype into the tender typanic membrane of the customers ear?

Is there more to marketing than a lot of noise?

Me thinks so.

Six Steps of Character Building for Massage Therapists

Massage marketing is everything you do.

Sounds a bit ambiguous, I know, but here's why:

Massage, and service business in general, is most effectively marketed by word of mouth. If I do everything with character and as much integrity as I can, it's a) more likely that I'll be seen in a positive light, and b) more likely that others will want to be associated with my business. From clients to strategic alliance, trust is operative when you show good character.

Massage Marketing:The Future of Chair Massage

Chair_massage_2We haven't talked much about chair massage. Which is little surprising since popularity continues to grow.

Lately the topic has arrived on MMR's Yahoo Group (be sure to join us).

Alot can be said for the portability of massage chair work, but I've got a feeling there will be a growing need for those in the know. Here's a post from MMR Yahoo group in regards to how much MT's should be charging.
