Marketing Massage & FaceBook.com

CoverfacebookLooking for fellow massage enthusiasts on Facebook.com

Facebook.com is a place I hope to find more and more massage enthusiasts and therapists alike, so I started a new Facebook group today for massage friendly.

If you haven't heard of FaceBook.com, you will, as digital social networks abound as fertile ground for both community connections and special interest niches.

My goal of course is to create more community and conversation between massage enthusiasts and you professionals. And, my hope is that the enthusiasts will share more of what they like and don't like, and need or don't need from massage as an experience.

Massage Trends: Marketing the Machine #2

100_6811Do massage chairs detract from massage therapist marketing efforts? Do they turn regular clients away from our quality touch?

I don't know about you, but I can't help but wonder where the massage practice of the future may go. How do we adapt to the influx of personal massage products when we are trying to find more clients and boost our incomes?

This may make you sweat . . . but I see opportunity.

Market flooded with massage therapists

One member of Massage Marketing Rebellion Yahoo.Group responds to the statement above:

"I disagree that the market is flooded with massage therapists.  Massage has such wide ranging applications.  Every professional and collegiate sport organization should have Massage Therapists on staff.  So should hospitals, oncology practices, Physical Therapy offices, dental offices, and ob/gyn offices.  Sure, these should be more advanced practitioners, but they should command a decent salary.  There should be more massage group practices out there as well."
Would you agree?
What are your thoughts on this topic?
